Connect 2045 will be the next long-range transportation plan (LRTP) for the River to Sea TPO. The LRTP is updated every five years to ensure that it reflects community visions and is consistent with current and forecast transportation conditions and needs. When completed in late 2020, Connect 2045 will replace the current 2040 LRTP.

Why do we need a long-range transportation plan (LRTP)?

The LRTP is a federally required plan that addresses future transportation needs for a period of at least 20 years. The plan includes transportation projects that are prioritized based on forecasted revenue. Local and state planning officials use the LRTP to select projects for funding in their work programs.
